Little Girls

If there were no little girls

     There would never be

Anything worth having in

     All that man can see.

Stars would never twinkle,

     Birds would never sing,

There would be no sun nor flowers,

     Bells would never ring.

There would be no joy, no love,

     Nor flouncing, dancing curls.

There would be little in life worth living

     If it were not for little girls
