Our Announcement

Yes, we are expecting a baby in July. The actually due date they gave me was July 28th, Sammy's birthday. But I hear that doctors like to change your due date at every appointment depending on how you measure, so we will have to wait and see.

How we told the Families:

At our family Christmas parties, each of our mothers was given a present labeled "To Grandma". Inside was a note that read:

Dear Grandma,

I can't wait to meet you in July.

Love, Grandchild #-

For Sammy's family this will be Grandchild #10, if we counted correctly. For Missy's family it will be Grandchild #6. This will be true unless we get another miracle baby and sibling for Naomi before our little one is born. In that case we certainly don't mind taking Grandchild #7.

For the past month we have been experiencing all the wonderful things that happen to you when you are expecting. Luckily, Sammy has been really sympathetic and patient with all of Missy's queasiness, unpredictability, complaints, and moodiness - although the moodiness is more a result of the stupid white stuff all over the city than to her hormone levels.
