Welcome to the Fellowship of the Homeowner

Owning a first home is like a joyful plunge into ice water — exciting (no upstairs neighbors! a garage! a lawn!) and shocking (bills! more bills! fix things! update things! maintain things!) at the same time.

Or you could say owning a first home is like having a baby — especially the first child. The breadth of one’s lived experience up to that point is hardly a preparation for exploring the depths of feeding and cleaning and teaching the child day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.

Or perhaps owing a first home is like being hit head on by a mac truck that you had heard could be around the corner. Yet you disregarded those warnings as the party-pooping counsel of your wise elders because they would stamp out the flame of the thrilling anticipation of a life with more than two rooms and without upstairs neighbors.

In any event, we’re recovering, we’re happy, and we visit The Home Depot regularly.

We know owning a home is a tremendous blessing, and we're so grateful for the generosity of family and friends who helped us get here.

Here's a dizzying tour of our abode:

Wait! I wanna see more! Where's the slow motion to see all around the house? I loved the chance to see your place but it was a dizzy video! Looking forward to my chat with Missy today!
